Research in adult development reveals that one’s stage of development profoundly influences how one relates to others. This fact becomes especially relevant when people have polarising views or differing opinions, and when interpersonal conflicts arise. In this workshop, we will unpack this concept together, to see for ourselves how the maturity framework can guide us towards nurturing more sustainable relationships. The insights we hope you will gain will likely enhance your ability to both support your clients as well as help you relate to others.
How We Respond to Feedback

In this session, we will see how and why people receive and process feedback differently depending on their stage of maturity. We will explore the implications of one’s world view determining how we respond to disconfirming criticism from others. We will see how one can solve one’s current difficulty from the next stage perspective. You will appreciate how developing your own maturity can shift your ability to both give and receive feedback constructively.
How We Make Decisions in Times of Uncertainty

In our final workshop, we will use the Leadership Maturity Framework again, to look at how individuals from different levels deal with uncertainty. The ability to make sound decisions, particularly during times of uncertainty, is a crucial capacity we all need to develop. Together we will explore the various reactions that show up within us during “vuca” times (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) and how we might shift our perspective so we can more adequately meet our individual and collective challenges. You will walk away with a sense of how critical it is for us to focus on developing our clients’ maturity, as the world around us all continues to spin in unfamiliar ways.
